Every post is perfect

Guestbooks, what a wonderful thing!

A simple way for readers to show appreciation and, since many readers are bloggers too, a great way for guestbook owners to get inspired. Many of my posts have been born that way, and it has happened again.

In my guestbook, Desi recently commented on the benefits of writing regularly, adding that it applies to blogging too:

It doesn't matter what it's about, or if lots of people read it. It doesn't have to be deep philosophical thoughts (unless you want it to be!). It can be a list of interesting things you saw while out running errands. Just keep going and keep that momentum! :)

That's the whole thing right there. Deep or shallow, long or short, whimsical or serious. Your blog is your world, do whatever you feel like.

Write about your dreams or your worst nightmares. Share your favorite recipes or your worst dinner party. Make every entry exactly 123 characters long, or start every post with: "If I could change yesterday, I would have..."

There are a gazillion fun and interesting posts never published just because someone thought it wasn't "good enough" content.

Don't add to that pile. The internet is big enough for all of it. Let it be seen.
